Last Thursday, we read and discussed “The Political Economy of the Rank-and-File Rebellion” by Robert Brenner. This Thursday, we read and discuss “Conflict, Change, and Economic Policy in the Long 1970s” by Judith Stein, all from Rebel Rank and File by Brenner, Brenner and Winslow.

On Thursday, January 26, we will finish up reading Karl Marx’s The Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte, moving on to Chapter 6 (Victory of Bonaparte), and Chapter 7 (Summary).

Several of our members are taking vacation, so we are on hold for two weeks. We will return on January 12, 2012, when we will continue reading Karl Marx’s The Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte, moving on to Chapter 4 (Defeat of Petty-bourgeois democracy), and Chapter 5 (Constituent Assembly vs. Bonaparte).
